I am often asked 'How much space do you need for a newborn baby photo shoot?', and 'Do I need to clear a room?'. I can actually manage in quite a small space, around 3mx3m is sufficient (more is obviously nice, but this is quite workable). As we know, newborns are very delicate, they have poor muscle control and a strong moro reflex (an involuntary response to feeling unsupported) necessitating great care and patience during a photo session. They must be carefully supported at all times and certainly never left on their own.
